Gridnest Privacy Policy (Android)
Developer: Bao Li · Applies to: Gridnest (Android edition) · Updated September 18, 2026
Photos & Permissions
Gridnest accesses only photos you select through the Android system photo picker or document picker. It does not request permission to read your entire photo library. Selected photos and their orientation metadata are decoded locally for preview and collage export; the app does not upload photo content to a developer server or send it to advertisers. On Android 9 and earlier, storage write permission is requested only when saving your exported collage to Pictures/Gridnest/.
Data Storage
Photo thumbnails are cached in memory during selection and cleared when the picker closes. Selected URI access may be retained by Android so editing can survive interruption. Exported collages remain in your gallery until you delete them there; uninstalling the app does not delete gallery exports. Clearing app data or uninstalling clears app-managed data and grants. App cloud backup is disabled. The app has no user accounts or developer-hosted photo storage.
Advertising & privacy choices
When advertising is enabled, this app uses Google AdMob (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and Google User Messaging Platform (UMP). These services process data such as IP address (which may indicate approximate location), advertising/device identifiers, ad interactions and diagnostics to provide and measure ads, prevent fraud and manage consent. They do not receive collage photo content from the app. Data is transmitted using the SDK services; processing and retention are governed by Google policies. Required consent is requested before ads load. Where available, use "Advertising privacy choices" in the app to change your choice. You can also reset/delete your advertising ID in Android settings. Unconfigured release builds do not request ads.
